The Silence Between Worlds
A Novel

Some silences speak louder than words.
In the aftermath of a devastating loss, Nadia returns to the coastal town she fled a decade ago. What she finds there — in the fog-draped streets, the half-remembered faces, and the letters she never sent — forces her to confront the truth she has spent years outrunning. A luminous meditation on grief, memory, and the courage it takes to begin again.

The sea had not changed. That was the first thing Nadia noticed as the taxi crested the hill and the harbour came into view — grey and vast and indifferent, the same colour as the sky above it. She had expected to feel something. Relief, perhaps, or dread. Instead she felt only the peculiar emptiness of a room after the furniture has been removed: the shape of something that was once there, and is no longer.
The driver said something she didn't catch. She murmured a response and pressed her forehead against the cold glass, watching the town unspool below her. Twelve years. She had told herself it was long enough.
